It was really a tiring week. I worked OT almost everyday auditing a shipping company over at Harbourfront. Thinking of the distance between Yishun and Harbourfront (where my client place is located), I need to wake up super early to reach there on time and went home quite late. Luckily my AIC, Scott found another Deloitte's staff who's also working on the subsidary of this company, lived in Yishun too... =) Haha. We shared cab to and fro work. We can claim the cab fare from company, so it's good deal. Haha... The cab fare chalked up to around $35 in the morning as we took the cab during peak hours, around 8 plus with all the traffic jam, ERP charges and a surcharge of 35%. The return home trip is slightly cheaper as it's non-peak anymore. Harbourfront is quite ulu, thus we have to call for cab instead. For OT, I am able to claim for my meal allowances of $10 per day. Met lots of different taxi drivers, some of them tend to go a roundabout way, so they can earn more money... Tsk tsk...
There are 7 people in my engagement team. I can say they are a lively bunch of people. Really glad to have them as my groupmates. As it's kind of a big company that we are auditing, Deloitte had sent out 3 teams to audit their subsidaries. Get to know each of them as we lunched together. =) Had lunch either at VivoCity or over at the food centre across the road (when it doesn't rain).
In the office, where all 7 of us were seated, we are able to see cable cars with tourists in it. The view there is not bad, with cable cars, lots of trees (maybe it's Mount Faber). Haha... We had lots to do and the room is filled with lots of thick ring files, wires and laptops. The client is quite nice as they tried to help us when we have doubts over their documents.
Going home late is really creepy, it was already dark outside. You have the whole corridor to yourselves. But, will get used to it as time gets by...
