Heehee... Mama secretly placed the hongbaos for my brother and me under the winnie the pooh tissue before she went home. *touched* I found out only when I went into my room after all my relatives left. Thank you! That's the second hongbao that she had given us for chinese new year.
She had doted on us since we were young. For me, being the eldest grandchild of hers.=) Stayed at her house till I was 5 years old before I went back to Yishun to start school. I still remember the times when I was at her house. Went to the kitchen when she was preparing meals and ask her the things in there. "What is this? What is it used for?" After I bathed, I will ask her if she wants to go to the market and I will follow. Even the vegetable auntie knows us well enough and even offered me a lollipop once. I used to drink lots of Yakult, 2 bottles per day and Mama still buy for me. She didn't know much about it either. I tend to cough a lot when I started schooling due to the phlegm which developed in my throat due to the excessive consumption of Yakult. All these memories will stay with me all the way till I.......... Hmm... I really appreciate the fact that Mama is still around. I wish that you will have good health year after year. =)
Having talk lots about my childhood times, it's back to reality now again. Just had a family gathering at my house. My uncles, aunt and grandma came over for lunch and dinner. Chatted and sat together to eat. To me, it's good to have a family gathering knowing that they are there to support you and there's a strong presence of family warmth.
Enjoy myself today. Jiayou for the upcoming exams which will mark the end of Year 2 Diploma in Accountancy in Singapore Polytechnic! =)
