ITP has come to an end in a blink of an eye. Time really flies when you are busy. Days which I go to the client's place and to Deloitte office. All those familiar faces, the bench areas, taxi rides, my laptop... Having returned them to the respective departments before all of us have officially end our internship.

Met up at VivoCity Marche for dinner and went over to Sentosa to celebrate Anita's and Cindy's birthday. =)

Had Swiss Rosti for dinner and my fruit cake. I guess Swiss Rosti is their speciality dish there. It's made up of potato and some marination. Took some pictures of the cooking process and the final product.

Hey guys. Long time never visit my blog due to my long working hours. Really deadbeat when I reached home... Stepped into my house at 12 midnight and had to go to work early in the morning. My life revolves around work and sleep. This current job changes my perception about this profession, really have to think twice if I want to commit myself into such a lifestyle. Left Harbourfront office at 11 plus and reached home at 12. My team mates are all workaholics, stayed till 1.30a.m. There was one occasion when our managers came to visit us around 9 plus and stayed with them till 1.30a.m. Wow, their energy level is superb. I am already very grouchy at around 11p.m. The reporting deadline is very near and had to work till late night to complete our tasks.

Haha, after listening much to my grumbles. Let me tell you something about my previous engagement. I am being assigned to Friesland (Singapore) Pte Ltd. From the name, I thought it's a company manufacturing french fries (薯条地。 Haha, it's not... The business nature of the company is manufacturing of milk. That's a picture that I have taken one evening after work.

It's Friso, milkpowder... Ring a bell?? It's located in Jurong Industrial Park, really a new exposure to me, a switch from Science Centre. Hmm, the 2 accounts supervisor there are quite friendly. Chatted a lot with me. They are very interested in our profession as auditors, kept asking us a lot of questions within our job scope. I merely laughed it off leaving my senior to answer them. =)

After that, went back to my Harbourfront job. 2 miracles happen... =D A secret, don't try to ask me about it... My sixth sense is really accurate. Yea!!!



On KPE expressway... Took a picture of the ferris wheel on my way to work. The view on Benjamin Sheares Bridge is really nice...... =p

Went over to Marina Square. Models catwalking for a few brands in Marina Square. Took pictures of these 2 models as I think their clothes are quite nice... =)


Went over to Cafe Cartel for some desserts... Free flow of bread and my peach with vanilla ice-cream. Yum Yum!!!

I spent this week at Singapore Science Centre for audit. =) Upon knowing that I am going to Science Centre, I am really excited. I haven't been there for quite a few years since those primary school excursions. Haha... Took some pictures at the entrance while I was on my way back from lunch. There's nothing much to eat at the Science Centre besides Macdonalds and Sakura buffet. We had to walk over to Jurong East Central for our lunch. It was quite a distance from the Science Centre. No choice...

That's the pass given to my senior for access to the building in the morning and when we worked late, normally till 8 plus, where all the employees of Science Centre had gone home by then. Their office is located at level four and it's quite scary at night.

Students queuing up to enter Science Center. Looking at them reminds me of my primary school times. I used to be there for fun since it's those school excursions unlike now, where I am there for work. No joke, there's a responsibility for me to complete the tasks assigned to me.

We managed to overtake the students at the entrance with the pass given to us. Haha... =)

Went to tour the Science Centre during our lunchtime. There's a recent exhibition know as I-Space. The pass is for us to log in our names before we can take the lift up to view the exhibition. Wah, very high technology... Amazed! =)

It had been a very fun and busy week for me and my seniors. All of us worked quite late in order for us to complete our audit. It's really nice to be with them for this week. Pulling out on Monday, I kind of miss Science Centre. The people over there are quite friendly despite me asking them lots of questions over their files and their accounting system. =) Ohh, I haven't finsh touring the exhibition in Science Centre. I doubt we have the time on Monday... So, maybe next time ba... Moving on a new company next Tuesday... Jiayou jiayou!!! =)

It was really a tiring week. I worked OT almost everyday auditing a shipping company over at Harbourfront. Thinking of the distance between Yishun and Harbourfront (where my client place is located), I need to wake up super early to reach there on time and went home quite late. Luckily my AIC, Scott found another Deloitte's staff who's also working on the subsidary of this company, lived in Yishun too... =) Haha. We shared cab to and fro work. We can claim the cab fare from company, so it's good deal. Haha... The cab fare chalked up to around $35 in the morning as we took the cab during peak hours, around 8 plus with all the traffic jam, ERP charges and a surcharge of 35%. The return home trip is slightly cheaper as it's non-peak anymore. Harbourfront is quite ulu, thus we have to call for cab instead. For OT, I am able to claim for my meal allowances of $10 per day. Met lots of different taxi drivers, some of them tend to go a roundabout way, so they can earn more money... Tsk tsk...

There are 7 people in my engagement team. I can say they are a lively bunch of people. Really glad to have them as my groupmates. As it's kind of a big company that we are auditing, Deloitte had sent out 3 teams to audit their subsidaries. Get to know each of them as we lunched together. =) Had lunch either at VivoCity or over at the food centre across the road (when it doesn't rain).





In the office, where all 7 of us were seated, we are able to see cable cars with tourists in it. The view there is not bad, with cable cars, lots of trees (maybe it's Mount Faber). Haha... We had lots to do and the room is filled with lots of thick ring files, wires and laptops. The client is quite nice as they tried to help us when we have doubts over their documents.

Going home late is really creepy, it was already dark outside. You have the whole corridor to yourselves. But, will get used to it as time gets by...
